Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1: New Loot and Boss Kits
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 introduces a significantly revamped Battle Royale loot pool, featuring many new weapons and unique items. A major addition is the introduction of ‘boss kits’ obtained by defeating NPC bosses.
Understanding Boss Kits
These boss kits are a powerful new mechanic in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1. Upon defeating an NPC boss, players receive a boss kit. These kits are held in the inventory until the player either wins the match or is eliminated.
- Cosmetic Transformation: The player visually transforms into the boss from which the kit was obtained.
- Stat Boosts: Boss kits grant increased health and stamina.
- Unique Abilities: Each kit provides a unique, manually activatable ability specific to the boss.
- Map Reveal: Activating the ability reveals the player’s exact location on the map to all other players.
Boss Locations and Rotation
Currently, there are three distinct NPC bosses. These bosses and their associated kits can be found rotating randomly across five specific locations:
- Ripped Tides
- Classified Canyon
- Painted Palms
- Two locations on either side of the lake east of Wonkeeland.
New Arsenal and Items
Beyond the boss kits, Chapter 7 Season 1 brings a host of new weapons and items to the Battle Royale experience. While specific weapon details are still emerging, the emphasis is on a fresh arsenal, with many weapons being entirely new to the game.
